The Liberatory Project is a schooling program (grades 6-12) that follows a remote learning model and an un-schooling philosophy.
Through a hybrid business structure, The Liberatory Project sets out to change the way communities at the margins learn and lead.
Doing deep investigative studies in our society’s primary institutions (explore our pathways to social change to learn more), students solve and implement solutions that are realistic, practical and valid (Empowerment Starts Here, 2012, p. 23). They spend 40-60% of their time on site while the remaining time is spent at home (independent learning) and/or in the community (service learning) under parent supervision.
